When the international HQ of a leading manufacturer in Europe decided their warehouse and factory in Wales needed to be relocated to the West Midlands, we were called in to protect and defend the organisation’s reputation.
Redundancy due to relocation
Communicating to the workforce that they were being made redundant required careful management. Working with HR and the legal team we crafted a communications programme that followed regulations but, most importantly, provided the human touch.
Preparing internal and external communications
This included preparing messages explaining why the change needed to happen, taking the time to plan communications properly, and deftly handle the grief and associated anger of employees as well as stakeholder, customer and media relations.
